Stan Cassidy Centre and Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital Addition

Project Info

This project consists of a major two new 2 storey structures having an overall area of 12,000± m². The buildings were constructed with structural steel framing. Compositely designed floor beams were used for economy, fire resistance and vibration resistance. The design incorporated a curved roof section requiring innovative structural engineering. Seismic loads were resisted by rigid frames required due to Architectural planning. The design work for this project was completed in a 6 month period allowing for phased construction.
